Meet the Team

  • President

While a board and video game nerd from the beginning, Jamie Leidelmeyer only got into the TTRPG world after a friend invited him to try the D&D 5e Starter Set after a long Stranger Things binge. One session was all it took, and 10 years and countless campaigns later, he’s still questing with enthusiasm! Now, Jamie is excited to share his love of tabletop with other new members of the community. When he’s not rolling dice, you’ll find him working as an environmental sustainability consultant or relaxing on the sofa with a crochet hook or embroidery needle.

Madeline approaches TTRPGs as a powerful storytelling medium for self-discovery and personal growth. She is a certified therapeutic game master and uses TTRPGs to help people safely explore themselves and make sense of the world through narrative gameplay. Her background in theater, improv, and film set her up for success in her relatively recent entry into the TTRPG scene. In the last 18 months, she’s run games at conventions, for private groups, and a few one-shots with Rough Magic and Wizard Staffing Co. Beyond the gaming table, she works in tech marketing with a specialty in brand activations and event planning.

Diego Bruno serves as the lead professional game master at Rough Magic Games, bringing nearly two decades of TTRPG experience combined with three decades of blue-collar work. His specialty lies in homebrew and rule-of-cool styles of improvisation, prioritizing fun collective narratives over rigid system rules. Diego's diverse portfolio includes running games for youth programs, hospital outreach initiatives, adult "Drinking and Dragons" sessions, short-arc stories at Quester's Guild games, and several long-form open-world campaigns—one of which has surpassed its first year. With this extensive background, his vision is to expand the company's reach throughout Chicagoland and potentially the Midwest, developing a comprehensive guide to TTRPG businesses and their capabilities. Through this effort, he aims to better serve and connect with as many communities as possible.
